We’re delighted to announce the arrival of midfielder Josh Jack on a two year contract.

No stranger to the club, Josh is the son of former Bankie Alan and nephew of John, and joins us after a very successful spell with Cumbernauld Colts where he scooped a hat-trick of awards as well as winning the Lowland League Cup.

Ex-Celtic and St Mirren youth JJ has previous Lowland League experience with Cowdenbeath and Broomhill, while also having spells at Cumnock, Hurlford, Forfar and Clyde.

Gordon Moffat commented: “Josh is one that we’ve been aware of for a while. He was obviously at a couple of teams in the West leagues and he moved back into the Lowland League with Cumbernauld Colts.

“We’ve paid quite a bit of attention to him because he has been one of the standout performers in the division if you’re building a Team of the Season from that attacking midfield area.

“He got 21 goals and around the same in assists, so phenomenal numbers across his season for this league which we know is very competitive.

“Bringing Josh in on a two year contract, at the age he is, and the fact he can probably fill three or four different roles in the systems we play was a big part of wanting him to join us and we’re delighted he has done so.

Josh added: “I’ve obviously got the connection with my dad and uncle, so it feels good to get it done. I also know Deano quite well and they’ve all said it’s a no brainer for me and my dad was pushing it massively!

“I know what the fans here expect so I’m looking forward to playing in front of that bigger support who obviously have demands as well.

“I’m a midfielder so I want to be involved in an attacking sense, trying to bring goals, assists and impact games which is what i like to do. I had a good season last year with 20 odd goals and a good few assists so hopefully I can bring that here.”
