The 28-year-old ex-Irvine Meadow, Petershill and Pollok man joins up after a stint at Johnstone Burgh. Welcome to the Bankies, Stuart!
After putting pen to paper, Stuart commented: “I’m really glad to be here. I spoke to quite a few clubs and was trying to make my mind up but Jamie Darroch actually text me. I played with him years ago and obviously against him a few times, so l knew I had to speak to them. Especially with the direction the club is heading in, I couldn’t really say no. Every time I’ve played against the club they have always been really big games and you always get a big crowd which was why i chose here, so I’m really looking forward to it.”
Bankies boss Gordon Moffat added: “Stuart is probably a player who doesn’t need any introduction to people who follow football at this level. He’s had a very strong career, particularly at Pollok and of late at Johnstone Burgh. He’s a player I’ve liked for a long time, he can obviously play in the nine but also from a side, so he gives us good options. He’s coming here in the peak years of his career with a real hunger, so it only took a short chat to realise he would be a good fit for us.”
