We’re delighted to confirm Dom Docherty has signed a two-year deal to remain with the Bankies!
The midfielder joined us in January after leaving SPFL side Dumbarton and made an instant impact, and has now committed his long term future to the club.
Ex-Hibs and Partick Thistle youth Dom now has over 300 professional appearances under his belt, having also turned out for Queen’s Park, Stirling Albion, Annan Athletic and Clyde.
First team manager Gordon Moffat explained: “Dom is another who hasn’t been at the club a long time, but came in and made a real impact at the time when we had had a couple of poor results and we were really needing to kick on in order to try and be part of that run in.
“Dom was a big part in that. He came in and has probably played in a few different positions but he’s really suited that six position in front of either the back three or back four. He’s really taken to that and understood straight away what we want, and he’s built great relationships with the team straight away, Deano and Nicky Low in particular.
“He’s been amazing for us in his short time here, and to get him for two years is massive for us and a big coup for the club.”
