We are delighted to announce Nicky Low has committed his long term future to the Bankies, signing a two year extension until 2028.
The midfielder first joined us from Arbroath in February 2023, and has gone on to rack up 106 appearances, scoring 17 goals.
A League Cup winner with Aberdeen and Derry City, and with experience across the SPFL, Nicky has played an influential role since joining – including in last season’s exceptional title win and has become a firm fan’s favourite at Holm Park.
Clydebank manager Gordon Moffat commented: “We’re delighted with it. Nicky is enjoying his football and has obviously gone over the 100 game mark for the club now, which I think I’m right in saying he maybe hasn’t done that with a club before which shows just how at home he is here.
“I love working with the wee guy, he can moan at me at times but as I say to the others, that’s just because of the level he’s been at and the standards he sets. It’s exceptional and it drags everyone with him, and he is probably in the shape of his life fitness wise as well. He just brings so much to us as a team.
“He’s coming into his mid-thirties now, but he just keeps getting better and better and easily has another two years in him if not a lot longer depending how long he wants to go on. We’ve stepped up this year, but he’s got the experience of being levels up again and it’s almost as if he’s just putting his stamp on it to say I’ll go up another gear.
“He’s an exceptional footballer, but more than that he’s a really genuine, nice person to work with. He’s so respectful to everything we’re trying to do. On the pitch, he brings so much out in other players, just his appreciation of the game. He has been outstanding, so we’re delighted to be working with him for another two years.”
