Stuart McCann departs

Clydebank FC can confirm Stuart McCann has completed a transfer to Pollok for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old joined us on a free transfer following his departure from Johnstone Burgh in the summer and scored three goals across his 10 appearances, seven of which came via the bench.

Bankies boss Gordon Moffat explained: “Even when Stuart came in over the summer, he spoke about his real need at the age he is at to start a lot of games. There has been nothing dramatic about it, I think Stuart has just felt he was struggling to get to the levels of a few years ago and to do that he feels he’ll need to be starting games most weeks. We have just looked to try and make that happen for him because he has been great around the place. His attitude and his training has been great so when he reiterated his desire just to play, that’s why we’ve let him move on.”

Everyone at the Bankies wish Stuart and his family all the very best for the future.
