Nicky Low signs for 2023-24

Nicky Low admits he feels right at home after penning a one-year deal to remain with the Bankies.

The midfielder joined us in February on a short term contract until the end of the season following his departure from Arbroath, but has now put pen to paper at Holm Park for 2023-24.

The ex-Aberdeen, Dundee and Derry City man explained: “I’m delighted to be back. I obviously enjoyed my short period last season, so I’m looking forward to going into pre-season and hopefully having a big year.

“I had thought it was going to be a short term thing as well while I had to sort out some family things. But seeing what it’s all about, how the staff work, the people behind the scenes and the ambition of both the club and fans made it easy for me.

“I had a few phone calls and chats with teams further up the leagues, but I spoke to Moff and we took our time over it, and I just feel it’s the right place for me. The gaffer told me who he was looking to sign and has made that happen, so we are adding to the quality that is already here and I’m buzzing to get going.

“When you come here, it just feels like a home. We have a really close knit changing room and it’s just so welcoming. My family have been to a few games, and just things like my daughter getting ice lollies, it just makes you want to be here.

“Sadly I’m one of the older boys now, so I feel like I can go and help next season. I still think I’m about 18 and then I realise that was a good few years ago now, but hopefully with my experience and the level I have played at I can help out.”
