Clydebank FC is delighted to announce we are set to be granted a Scottish FA bronze licence, subject to formal ratification.
This has been a lengthy process for the club, involving significant areas of investment around the ground, and ongoing works soon to conclude. We have demonstrated our compliance in meeting the Scottish FA’s wide ranging requirements.
This is a fantastic achievement for the club. It is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication by the club’s board, staff and volunteers behind the scenes.
Club secretary Stuart Kelly explained: “This is a momentous moment for the club. Since we originally gained Entry license level in 2021 the club’s success has been incredible, including many great moments in the Scottish Cup. This elevation to Bronze level gives the club access to new opportunities in the pyramid if our on-field success allows.
“On behalf of the board, we have many thanks to make. To Douglas McAllister MP, to Councillor Lawrence O’Neill, Jim Lough, and Craig Turner, to name just a few: thank you. There will be further opportunities to thank everyone who has played their own part.
“In the meantime, this is a time to reflect on the great strides the club has made in recent years. It is also an opportunity to think of those Bankies now passed who played their own significant contributions.
“Today marks a new chapter in the club’s story. Proud to be a Bankie.”
