Andy Leishman pens new deal

Welcome back, Andy Leishman!

The vastly experienced goalkeeper has penned a new one year deal to remain with the Bankies.

A serial winner across his career, the 37-year-old joined us last summer from Darvel and has made 37 appearances for the club, keeping 13 clean sheets in the process.

Clydebank manager Gordon Moffat commented: “The season before last, Andy went through the 30 game mark and was a big part of us winning the title along with the other goalies.

“This year has been frustrating for him, he’s not played too many games due to a knee issue with a wee tear in his medial that we just had to let heal.

“Probably the last few weeks or month of the season, we really saw Andy fit and challenging Owen. To get him for another year, both on and off the pitch, is massive because it gives us two fantastic goalies competing for the number one jersey.”
